Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My wife is being asked to appear at a hearing for increasing child support from her ex-husband. She submitted a request to increase and was given a calculated amount from the child support division of Union County. We live in Florida and he lives in Union county. Since the child support is calculated by the state based upon the 4 page document we had to complete, why would it be necessary for us to appear and incur the extra costs?

There could be a lot of reasons, some of them very genuine, some less so. The best person to ask in this instance is the attorney and/or caseworker on your file in Union County.
