Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My wife has my truck and I want it back.

My wife left in December, before leaving she spun a web of lies and took my truck. Before I let her leave I asked if she was coming back, she said yes. She took the truck and had her new boyfriend work on it, then called and told me she wasn't coming home. I need the truck to carry my equipment for work, and she is refusing to return it. It is titled in my name alone. I called the local police and they said I would have to sue her for the truck. Do I file in small claims court? Do I file in the county that she took the truck from or the one she took the truck to? Thanks for your help.

I suggest that you file for separation or dissolution and seek the truck back. You cannot get your truck back in small claims, you could only get the value if under $6000

You need to file a dissolution or separation action. Small claims is not the answer.
