That depends on the nature of the case and whether you actually intend to hire an attorney to represent you. Someimes they are free, sometimes 15 minutes are free and any additional is at the attorney's hourly rate and sometimes there is a fee for any consultation. Some attorneys charge for the initial consultation but credit you that amount if hired to do legal work, so in a sense it is free. Every attorney is different.
