Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Will I be able to move out of state when I get married with my children? I am going to be getting married in the next few months when my boyfriend is deployed back to Colorado, as he is currently in Iraq. He will be stationed in Colorado for the next two years. I currently live in Indiana. The father of my children and I were never married. We have joint custody of our four year old son, and I have sole physical custody. We also have a six month old daughter, but we have no court ordered agreement in place with her. I have filed police reports against him for being violent, and vandalizing my property. He doesn't pay me anything for my children, and he has never been able to hold down a job, or a place to live. I am a full time student. I believe this is in the best interest of my children. What will I need to do after getting married? Will a judge approve this move?

You will have to comply with the relocation statute. If the father objects, there will be a hearing and you will have to prove the necessary elements in the statute.
