Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Work Related Childcare Expenses Non-Custodial

Divorced 1999 2-children 1-subsequent child--have provided in home nanny for 3-years without credit or recognition. Mother wants to provide work related child care through before/after school programs for control reasons--Father moved 2-miles from mother in order to help raise children and wants to use already hired nanny in home (same bus route etc.) What are the fathers chances of a judge saying yes that the children should utilize in-home nanny instead of before/after school program. Duplicated expenses cannot continue. I need a break.

Re: Work Related Childcare Expenses Non-Custodial

The judge should be receptive to the idea of the children being at home rather than in a daycare situation. If your case is in Marion or Hendricks County you may be required to mediate before a hearing date and the chances are good that the mediator would support the position that more expense is not necessary.
