Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I am a young adult who needs to be adopted by a friend to get health insurance and inheritance rights. I know a child adoption has to be published public but was really hoping an adult adoption did not. I have stalkers who cause me problems. Is there anyway to keep an adult adoption out of the newspaper?
