He has a constitutional right to take you to court. The question is whether he has a cause of action. Cases in negligence require a duty, a breach, damages and that the brreach of the duty caused the damage. Unless he was unable to use his driveway for some period of time,it does not sound like he can win at court other than if he seeks to restrain future action. Since you said that this was accidental, it does not sound like it would really matter to you if he did get an injunction.
