Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I have an aquaintence that owes me money and is about to receive a settlement. Is there any I can get on this settlement as a garnishment? Or is there a better way to collect. I can not rely on him to pay me from his settlement.

If you have a judgment already, you would be able to garnish the payment. If not, you need to get your suit filed. Talk to an attorney in your community.
