Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
I was assaulted a year ago in my college campus dorm room, by my room mates friend. He put a knife to my neck and nearly cut my throat. I filed two police reports and nothing was done. If I wanted to sue him for that assault what would I need to do to prove his fault and to show emotional harm?

You need toi establish that more likely than not, he committed that act. Hopefully, you have witnesses and medical reports to establish the act as well as your emotional damages.
