Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
Auto Repair
I own a 07 Trailblazer SS , this vehicle came from GM with the Corvette engine . I had a supercharger installed on this motor and at about 29,000 miles the motor blew. I knew that this would not be covered by my 5yr 100000 mile warranty due to the supercharger addition. I decided to take it to a speed shop that specializes in GM vehicles and corvettes. I gave it to him in Dec 3rd 2008 and I was supposed to get it back dec 23rd 08. with a completely forged motor that would include Forged pistons and other hardened parts that would hold up better with the supercharger on the motor . The speed shop gave me a contract that indicated I would have a 12,000 mile or 1yr warranty on the new motor . He due to his knowledge of building and tuning and using the parts that he wants to use . I authorized him to go and build the motor and we signed a contract . I recieved the TBSS on dec 28th and took it right back 2 days later because it was backfiring and had no power. I have picked it up 6 times over the last 2.5 months and it still is not running properly . The last time I took it back about 2 wks ago he was trying to tune it and he said the motor blew. Can I get my money back & take somewhere else or do I have to keep giving him cahnces
