Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I bought a carry on trailer in which I have the title and I let a friend borrow it but they won't give it back can I legally go get it

Not advisable. It's frowned upon to go onto another person's property to retrieve something, even if it's yours. Safest way is to go through the court (small claims court should do it) and obtain a judgment and the assistance of the police or sheriff in retrieving the article.
