Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
I filed a discrimantion suit against my appartement because my neighbors violated the lease there were Caucasian, they never got evicted for having shoes in the hallway and this was in the lease, but a police off duty working for the apartment stated I was speeding and could have hit a child. But I didn't get a ticket for it this was my first so called violation I didn't get a warring letter they just evicted me, the court said that my violation was worse then theirs but the lease does not state that one violation is worse then the other. How can they pick and choose the seriousness of the violations in the lease

I am not going to second guess a judge who heard all of the evidence. You should consider hiring counsel to review all of the evidence and facts and possibly listen to the transcript to determine if you have grounds for an appeal.
However, I will say this, if both of you had left the shoes out, and only you were cited, and all othter facts besides your racial makeup were the same, you would have a cause for discrimination.
