Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
Someone I know gave a business money for rental of a facility for a wedding reception. They signed a contract but were never given a copy. The business became very difficult to work with and now the business is not responding when asked for a copy of the contract. If the business can't provide proof of a contract, should the money paid to reserve the business be refunded?

It would seem so. But the terms of the written contract govern, so your someone needs to demand a copy of the contract so that it can be determined whether it covers this situation.
