Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

guardianship/attorney confidentiality

I would like to know if a lawyer has been fired what type of confidentialty does that person have for a client? Can they speak freely to the press? Can they instigate a newspaper column to help the other side and stir up community question of the opposing party?

The fired attorney's name did appear in the column. This column appeared 11 days before the court date. This is a family matter over guardianship of a 93 year old that is not quite herself but just enough to rise a doubt. Her judgement is not clear.

Thank You

Susan
