Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

Is it a infringement of my fright for an a Attorney and the person he is representing ,to change a date of a court hearing and not let you know it has been changed ? If this is what may I do about it ? they have a judgement against me and my husband and we were not notified that the date of the hearing had been changed . They will say they sent it to our old address which we have not been living there since March of this year ,and they know our new one , Isn't this a type of fraud ,on their part ? Help I need help on how to handle this claim .

It is more likely an accident, not fraud, and without an attorney to properly present this to the court, you will probably be out of luck. Take the information to an attorney in your community, and let the attorney know of your defense to the claim as well.

I agree with Jay. If you have a valid defense an attorney

should be able to file a motion that will set aside the judgment.
