Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
I live in the US and I wish to challenge the partition of my family property in India. I have sent my signed vakalatnama to my lawyer in India but it is not notarized by a notary in the USA. I am unable to get it notarized here as the surname in my passport is different.The courts are refusing to accept the vakalatnama, what are the options available to me?

You should post this in the forum for questions about India, not Indiana (USA).
A notary can only notarize your signature of the name which is yours legally in the jurisdiction in which you reside. So you must sign your name as it legally exists here. You can prepare an affidavit which contains and lists your aliases, but this is a document that would probably require an attorney. It isn't a do-it-yourself project. Consult with an attorney and he should be able to prepare the documents you need which will satisfy a notary and the Indian authorities.
