Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
I only lived in my apartment 1 year and my landlord is charging me over 2000 for damages. the carpet and paint were already old before I moved in. What can I do? I only make 9.00 an hour and can not afford this.

If you did the damages, you owe the money. The landlord is required to prove the damages. If you took pictures of the prior damage, it would help.
