Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
Hello I purchased a 3wheel trike from a company called Supersportz in California last April I have had nothing but problems since it has arrived at my door. I have been going back and fourth with the owner of this company for months now. He promised to send parts after I was told that I could not get a refund I have not received any parts that he has promised. I paid almost 3,000 for this trike and have not been able to ride it for a yr now. I finallly got a answer from supersortz the other day and they stated the was under new ownership. My question is can I sue for my refund or a replacement and if so how do I go about this since I am in Indiana and the company is in California? I have filed complaints with the BBB of California but nothing came of it.

Yes, you can sue in Indiana. "How do I go about it" is too broad a question to try to ask in this forum. You can look at small claims manuals online at the Indiana judicial website or at your local clerk's office.
One of the problems arising from purchases from out of state companies is that they may not be subject to Indiana jurisdiction. Try to resolve the situation with the new owners and try to work with them. If you can't reach a resolution, you'll need to retain counsel because this type of litigation is too difficult to pursue pro se.
