Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
If you are renting an apartment and it has mold problems and the apartment owner knew about it before you moved in and didnt do anything and you or your kids suffer health complications as a result what legal action can be taken

you should be able to break the lease and move out. there is a doctrine called "constructive eviction" which should apply to relieve you of the lease obligations. if the children have an ongoing problem because of this you might be able to bring a civil action after you move for breach of waranty of habitablity against the landlord. good luck.
