Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

My former roomate agreed to sell me a vehicle in the summer of 2007. we agreed to a price of 500 dollars witch I paid him over the course of about 3 months.we never transfered titles into my name due to the suspended status of my drivers licence i was worried i would not be able to plate the car. around october first of 2009 he asked if he could by the car back from me we agreed on a price of 800 dollars since i had the car painted during my time of ownership. it has been over two months and i have not seen a dime of this money. it upsets me greatly that i feel like there is no way to gain retribution. is there any way i could either get the car back or get the money since the title has already remained in his name. i have many people that would testify that i paid him the cash sum of 500?? please help!!

Sue him in small claims for the $800 that he hasn't paid you.
