Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

i am being sued for a medical bill i gave the hospital two insurance cards one medicade and one personal, medicade should have paid the entire bill but the hospital only turned it in to my personal insurance. i know that i will not have to pay the bill or their lawayer but do i have the right to sue them for putting it on my credit report?

Possibly. However, that may dependi on the language in the assignment of benefits that you may have signed. You may have agreed that the hospital did not have to submit it. Additionally, you would have to prove the value of the damage. In other words, how much more does credit cost you now than before they put this on your record, or have you been turned down for credit because of a lower rating, and what is the value of any lost opportunity because you were denied credit.
