Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
My wife and I went on a vacation where another couple put it on their credit card. We origionaly paid for it all in cash but the airline that we were to fly with filed bankruptcy and we had to book another flight, the other couple put it on their credit card and said to just pay them back. We have since had a falling out with each other and the other couple are harrassing us for payment. Since My wife and I did not sign any document stating that we would pay them back. Does the other couple have a leg to stand on if they take us to small claims court?

Yes. You have the burden of proof to establish a gift. Additionally, they would have a claim for unjust enrichment.
