Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana
work done was not paid in full
I upholtered a cadillac hurse in Oct of 2005, between the material and supplies and labor the total cost of this job was $1500.00, the customer paid $440.00 at the time the automobile was picked up. The customer placed the car in car shows. Now he is stating that he overpaid me for the job. There was no contract. I have a receipt for the material that I purchased. Which with tax included came to approximately $600.00, so the balance is of $900.00 for 2 people to do the upholtered work. Can I file a civil suit in the Small Claims court?

Yes. Go to the court in the city where the customer lives or does business and ask the clerk for the forms.
