Legal Question in Immigration Law in Indiana
Freelance artist on H4 vise would like to exhibit
I am an artist currently in the United States on an H4 visa. I would like to take part in some exhibitions and was wondering how to go about. Would I need to leave the country and re-apply for a different (P-1?) visa or is there a way I can do this from within the US?
Thank you!

If you are in current legal status, you may be able to petition for a change of status. I would not attempt to change your status to P-1 without consultation with an attorney, however.
