Legal Question in Immigration Law in Indiana

I-275

Pakastini student denied re-entry on student visa after visit home. Told by school before leaving that all papers were in order. Visa stamped I-275 (a)(7)(B)(i)(II). What can he do? File I-212 or I-601? Returned voluntarily from Chicago airport after being held 9 days without communication. School now says he was not properly enrolled. Has 120 signed the day he left. He is friend of my granddaughter and lived with me. A wonderful boy and I would like to help. Only a year left on Masters degree. Was here nearly three years and took a semester off because of health. Don't know what to tell him. Can't find answeres on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: I-275

Try to get an I-20 from the school again and apply for F1 at the consulate. I -212 and I-601 waivers are abosultely not applicable in this case.
