Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana
Auto insurance payoff
I do not agree with the amount of money my ins. co. wants to give me for my wrecked car and they say they won't budge on the offer to me. I feel they r way off on the value and have done what I can (sending blue book values and ads from similar cars) I owe 4,500 more than they r willing to pay. The car is a 1995 Honda Civic DX and they want to give me 2,500

Re: Auto insurance payoff
You do not have to accept their valuation of the auto. You have the option of suing them to get the true value. This is SOP for insurance companies. They are only concerned for the bottom line, not their insureds. Contact an attorney in your area to further advise you on your next step. Good luck.
