Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana
I was in a car and found out my Ford was not covered and my Yukon was. I believe the other driver was speeding and it was her fault. In my State I am under the impression that at time of accident in Indiana if a driver has no insurance and it is their fault that u can only claim your car loss and medical. This happened Months ago and I have heard nothing from her insurance company. So I am thinking they know she is at fault and just hoping I don't contact them. I need too know if I am right about the law and if I shouldn't just contact them myself and see what they say or if I have to have an attorney? Thing is I have not received anything from the Police on scene not even a ticket. Only thing I have received is a letter from my old Insurance stating no coverage and a letter from the BMV stating I will lose my driving rights for 3 months for not being insured.

You may have a claim even if you didn't have insurance. But you will most likely need to retain an attorney to pursue your case. This isn't a do-it-yourself project.
