Re: insurance judgement

This is not an insurance question, it is a debt collection question.

Judgments can become dormant and not enforceable when seven years elapse after the rendition of the judgment before execution is issued and entered on the general execution docket (GED) of the county where the judgment was rendered. You can check with the clerk of court in the county where the judgment was entered to see if the judgment was renewed by the filing of a "FiFe" after seven years. If it was not renewed by the filing of a FiFe within the seven year period, then the judgment may very well be dormant

Do not re-affirm or admit to the judgment debt. You should contact a consumer law attorney if you need further help.
