Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana
I was in a minor fender bender. No police report. I did not have insurance but had old policy card and gave that information. I panic called immediately afterwards and started new policy. My insurance is now cancelling me for misappropriation. Because when questioned about accident i lied but then I called back and told them the truth that i was not covered. I have spoke with other parties insurance and working put a payment plan for ladys damages. But know Im scared that my insurance is going to come after me for some type of fraud. Im now wondering will my liscense be suspened and could i get on more trouble for being honest.

It's doubtful that anyone is "going to come after you". You didn't get in trouble for being honest---you got in trouble for not being totally honest. Next time, and forever, tell the truth--it's really the best policy. Your license will probably be suspended by the state for failure to have insurance for the accident. You can reapply. But you need to obtain liability insurance through another insurance company. Go to an agent in your town---explain everything----he can probably get you placed.
