Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana
My son purchased a used car. I co-signed on the loan to get this car. My son has his own insurance for this car. Since I co-signed for the loan will I have any responsibility for the liability (i.e. damages he caused by the accident) in case my son had a car accident?

You will have no liability for his negligent driving unless you know he is an unsafe driver (drives while intoxicated, etc.) and helped him get out on the road anyway. If he is a minor, you may have limited liability for his negligence, but it won't be becasue you co-signed his loan.
