Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana

I'm Uninsured

We had an uninsured car, the policy lapsed because we did not have money to pay the premium ! We had the car in an auto shop for repair ! The Car was stolen off a closed lot and damaged, then returned to the lot ! Is The Shop owner liable for any damages ?

The repair shop may have been negligent in storage of your car. Whether your car was insured should make no difference as to whether the repair shop is liable to you for damage to your car while they were taking care of it.
