Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Indiana
Copyrite infringement
(1) Am I infringing on a copyrite if I re-record "favorite" songs onto another media for personal use. Assume (1) I purchased all music and (2) I reproduce only (1) copy for personal use?
(2) Is providing a service of re-recording songs for an individual for their personal use an infringement on the works copyrite?

Re: Copyrite infringement
1) The answer is NO, if the reproduction is for your own personal use.
2) However, if you sell the reproduction, use it in a nightclub or provide some public performance thereof, or use the copyrighted music for any commercial endeavor, then you are infringing.
3) If there is payment, exchange or other consideration for your reproduction service, then the answer to number 2 is YES.
