Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Indiana

Hello, there is a patent on LED lighting for aquarium's yet many companies produce these lights. If i were to purchase a LED light from China to distribute can I be sue'd over this? I am a LLC. Orbitec is the company with the patent.

This would require analysis of the claims of the patent and the LED light you propose to purchase and distribute to see if the claims cover it. That should run several thousand dollars in legal fees. For Orbitec to sue you, the possible damages would have to be significant, so the volume of your purchases and distribution would be needed to know the answer. More likely would be a warning letter pointing out the patent and demanding you stop, if the patent actually covers what you say it does. More facts are needed and you will need to pay a patent attorney some legal fees before you can get a specific answer.
