what % esi applicable on erection contract

we are working the job of erection an fabrication works.we have sub contactors,is the esi calculated on the amount paid to the sub-contractor or is there any procedure to clculate the levy esi on the paid amount.please clarify me.

You may refer to the Rules framed under ESIC Act and Instructions issued by the Corporation. Appropriate guidance may better be sought directly from ESIC office.
