Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

forced to replace union worker

I work for a company with both union and non-union facilities. After getting no response for volunteers (from my non-union facility) to go to replace workers, for one week at a time, in the union facility, we are now being told that our trip will be mandatory. ( the other facility is in Ohio)I feel uncomfortable going as the company ''locked out'' the union workers. Is it legal for them to require I go, threatening my future with them in the process?

Re: forced to replace union worker

Yes, they can do that. They cannot force you to work, but the bottom line is, if you don't you will likely be out of a job, since your job is nonunion, which means you are an "at will" employee.
