Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana
I had a personal email account with Comcast, when I transferred my service to a new carrier I didn't want to change my email address so I transferred it to my employers business account, with their premission of course. I was fired several months ago and now things are not friendly between the two owners and I. I recently tried to log on to my account and it has been suspended by my former employer. I called Comcast to have my email transferred to my mothers account, but I was told it could not be transferred from a business account without the owners approval. Do I not still own this account? It is completely personal, no business emails ever. It was an email account I opened, not my employer. Is there a way to get back my email address or even my emails in the account?? Please help.

Your employer owns the address now. You should get a new one.
