Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana
poor payroll, company should be audited
I recently quit my job as a flight attendant 9/10.Paychecks are out every other Thurs and i didn't get it yest.(2nd time i had to call and keep on them about not being paid) I know you probably receive tons of emails about this. I'm not so worried about my check, as the principle. This company has been screwing employees checks up for a long time and i feel something needs to be done on behalf of them. I believe every single week that i have worked there, i have heard of one or more people getting underpaid, overpaid, or not paid at all. A flight attendant who also just quit is still waiting for her last 2 weeks of pay, a former employee received a check for 3 weeks after he quit, a pilot received an extra $3000 one month in error, and one week 2 flight attendants walked off the job due to not being paid after 4 weeks of working and not receiving a check. I could go on and on. I believe that this company needs to start acting more professional and get someone in payroll that knows what they are doing. The company needs to be audited somehow and needs to start acting with some sort of honesty and integrity towards the employees. Thanks and let me know what kind of action I can take towards this co.

You can tell Human Resources(or the company's equivalent)or the payroll folks, or whomever you think appropriate in management, exactly what you've recounted here.
However, until you've incurred an actual and identifiable and unreimbursed loss, you have no legal case nor cause of action against your employer for the conduct which you've described.

Assuming it is a company based in Indiana.
Send them a demand for payment of wages. Specify the amount and dates owed. Send the letter certified. Wait at least 10 days. If no response, hand it over to an Indiana lawyer to file suit and collect the wages. Indiana law permits recovery of attorney fees, too.
