Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Questions on job applications

Can someone inform me of any websites that would state what questions are legal or illegal for a potential employer to ask on a job application? I recently picked up an application that had some very strange questions on it and don't know if I should answer them. i.e....Did you grow up with both parents in the household, do you own your furniture, and church affiliation (plus a few others). This job is for a cable installer. I am not sure what these questions have to do with the position that needs to be filled. Thanks for any info you can give me!!!

Re: Questions on job applications

42 USC section 2000e et al prohibits discrimination regarding employment. You need to file a complaint with the EEOC. Once you get a right to sue letter from EEOC then you have 90 days to file.
