Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Recently at my job as a "trainer" for mentally and physically challenged adults, an incident occurred while I was on the clock but not physically present at the home at the time when it happened. I was suspended and there was an investigation into the incident. While suspended the schedulers put in a public folder on the computer of the weekly schedule of workers and hours that my shift was being substituted because I was suspended. Consequently, some of my peers saw this and began talking about this. I was found after investigation that I was at no fault for the incident and reinstated. While suspended one of the "clients" that I work with was informed of the suspension by a supervisor and began talking with other "clients" and staff about it and HIS reason why that I was suspended. I was contacted by several "clients" and peers regarding this incident asking questions regarding it. I feel first and foremost that the suspension was unwarranted and secondly that this incident should not have been made public to my peers and "clients" that I work for. Do I have any legal rights?

WIthout knowing whether you are in a union, I cannot accurately answer this question as it pertains to your employer. You may have a cause of action against the client who provided "his" reason. However, unless you sustained damages, there probably is little that you can do about it.
