Retroactive Bonus for Seperated Employee
I have been employed with a company for 11/2 yrs. We rceive monthly bonuses if we reach a certain target of paperwork-total. This year our bonuses were withheld because we were awaiting our tax bill to be passed by congress. It was just passed over the weekend. Well, I have accepted a position with another company, however, these bonuses with my current employer will soon be paid off. These bonuses are based on work that I have participated in as a group and the work is complete. when I leave this company, am I entitled to my retroactive bonuses?

It is difficult to say without seeing the written bonus policy. For example, the policy may say that you must be employed at time of payout to receive. However, since the bonuses should have been paid out while you were employed, you likely have a good argument for receipt. In addition, the total amount due must exceed $800 in order to go to court without first pursuing an administrative remedy.
