Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Salaried Employee

I am a salaried employee. I went into work 2 weeks ago on Monday and was told that the days job had been canceled and to go home and enjoy the day off. I received my check yesterday and was docked a days pay. Can they do this?

Re: Salaried Employee

In the absence of a contract stating otherwise, a salaried employee can be docked as long as it is for an entire day. Docking a salaried employe for partial days is not allowed.
