unfair dicapline

i was fired for bringing my shotgun to work.i left it in the trunk of my car and showed it to a friend as we was preparing to leave work.the next working day i was fired for bringing it onto the premesis.i understand now this was a major rule violation.but others have had major rule violations without being terminated.do i have a legitamate arguement?

It probably will depend on whether or not: (i) you are similarly situated to any of the people who were treated differently/better after committing a major rule violation; and (ii) the decision to fire you was motivated by an unlawful bias or reason.
