Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

is this a whistleblower case?

long story short, in Dec. 2002 employer tryed to get everyone to sign new handbook, noone would, because it contained a tardy policy taking away hrs. worked for mins. late. ie: 1-15 min. late= 1 hr. pay 16-30 = 2hr. etc. told him it was illegal and couldn't do it, he did it anyway, around May he tryed to get everyone to sign another new handbook same policy in it, in June I found on the internet (in.gov) where it was illegal, showed it to my supervisor, who passed it on down the line, exactly one week later I get my walking papers. I have both handbooks he tryed to get signed, I have the memo he handed out with checks the first time he put the policy into effect. I also have the original copy I took off the internet w/date-time, and my termination letter.(dated exactly one week later) Is there a whistleblower or wrongfull termination law this might fall under?

The same Indiana Wage Claims Act which makes it illegal to make the deductions your employer proposed, also prohibits retaliation for exercising your right to be paid in accordance with the Act. I think you have a claim. Please call me at 317-955-9500 to discuss further.
