On a 12 hour shift from 6 pm to 6 am, what is considered a fair amount of time for lunch and rest breaks without repercussions?

Unfortunately, neither federal nor Indiana state law require that an employer provide lunch or rest breaks. If an employer does provide a break less than 30 minutes in duration, that break must be paid. Breaks of 30 minutes or more may be unpaid.
