Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

Wrongful termination

I was terminated after 27 years of recognized service. After asking a female employee to ask her supervisor what a dirty phrase meant. I now know company had a policy that stated ''1 verbal warning and 2 written warnings. In my unemployment appeal hearing my boss said that I was not given any warnings. How should I proceed?

It sounds as if your company did not follow its published progressive discipline in firing you. That raises the question of why? If it was because of your membership in some protected class (race, sex, age, etc) then you very well may have a claim. Feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss further.
