Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Indiana

an apartment complex, and we recently had a horrible storm come through with very strong winds. Shingles from the roof hit my car and causes $3,000 worth of damage. I am wondering if my apartment complex is required to pay for the damages? I also want to add in that the shingles/roofing is very old, and has not been redone in probably 30+ years. There are many spots on the roof that no longer have singles. Thank you for your help.
