Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Indiana

Evidently I had a judgment against me in small claims court after being evicted from an apartment. This was in 1996. I received a summons the other day, again taking me to small claims court for the same incident. Can they do this after 14 years, is there a statute of limitations? What are my options to deal with this?

Thank you,

Ginger Powell

A judgment is good for 7 years. However, the judgment can be renewed. Go to the courthouse and look at the file.
