how many people can live in a 2bedroom apt i have 3adults and 2 kids they said there is too many people

If they say you have too many people, it's either because of a zoning issue or because of the lease. Ask your landlord to show you the rule they are referring to. They will show you your lease, or a zoning law they are subject to.

If you are wondering what the justification for the rule is, here are two perspectives:

From the apartment owner's perspective, having too many people in an apartment adds wear and tear. It also could lead to noise complaints. Santitation is an issue as well, as it's harder to keep the apartment clean when it is overcrowded.

From a zoning perspective, municipalities want to limit overcrowding, avoid health/safety issues, and manage traffic.
