Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Indiana
Tenant moving on new landlord
We had signed a lease with our landlord. That landlord sold the property to someone else. We didn't want to stay there after the previous landlord sold the house. Does our lease with the previous landlord hold up with the new landlord? Does the new landlord have to make up a new lease for us to sign with his name on it? Does the new landlord have to give us our deposit back?

The new landlord takes the property with the lease but can give you a new lease. His call and yours. The new landlord should have your damage deposit. I would make sure of that.
