Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Indiana

False advertising

I purchased two dogs from a pet store. The petstore employees told me that both dogs are AKC certified and papers would be delivered. I have just found out neither one is AKC certified. If I would have know this I would not have gotten them. Can I sue for false advertising?

Thank you

Re: False advertising

Your situation appears to be a species of fraud. You have several options, including returning the animals for a refund, suing the seller for a partial refund (theory is the dogs were not actually worth what they were sold for). Depending upon the amount of money you spent and whether you want to keep the dogs, you should consider a suit in small claims court.
